The purpose of marine/transit insurance is to cover your goods during transit for ‘All risks/total value’ of the consignment and not rely on the limited liability of agents and carriers.
There is no law making Cargo Insurance compulsory but it must be remembered that goods are at risk whilst being transported even Nationally and, more important, Internationally. Marine Insurance is covered by the Marine Insurance Act 1906.
We are able to offer Marine/Transit Insurance to the freight paying party, commonly called Marine Cargo Insurance, which can normally cover the total cost of your goods ( less excess ) whilst in transit around the world .
Insurance is offered on a per shipment basis.
Rates differ for each mode of transport and also differ from Country to Country depending on the value of the cargo and the total risk involved.
We are able to quote you very competitive premiums to cover your goods in transit which are underwritten by fully recognized underwriters.
If you need further information we have a leaflet available which details our service. To obtain a copy of this or simply for a discussion or quotation please call us now.
