In a move which is sure to give a sigh of relief to UK hauliers everywhere, the government has announced it will not go ahead with the planned 3p fuel duty rise this summer and will freeze it for the rest of the year.

Mr Osbourne believes this will help families and businesses as the country continues to deal with the extremely difficult economic conditions.

Although there has been uproar that the chancellor is doing umpteen u-turns we are thankful on this particular issue that the government has done the right thing.

With the price of crude oil falling this year from weakening demand, and supermarket pumps wars about to break out the much expected summer of discontent may well be averted. For the time being at least…
