New no-deal guidelines issued by HMRC for VAT registered businesses
We received new information today from BIFA our trade body who are working closely with HMRC for no-deal plans.
HMRC are writing to VAT-registered businesses that trade only with the EU with details of important actions they need to take and changes to be aware of in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal. It is the third letter to businesses on preparing for the UK leaving the EU.
The latest letter has been published on GOV.uk and will be posted to businesses this week.
HMRC are encouraging all those affected by Brexit to register for updates as they occur.
To register for HMRC’s email update service, log on to www.GOV.uk/hmrc/business-support, select ‘business help and education emails’, then ‘EU Exit’.
If after the reading the guidance linked to above Members have queries, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and the Department will respond as soon as it can.
If you wish to discuss customs arrangements for your cargo please contact Jon Swallow here who is working with clients in anticipation of a no-deal Brexit
