Man of the moment here at Jordon is Jack Spink.  Having never boxed before, Jack volunteered to represent Jordon at an amateur boxing night in Ipswich at the start of March, to raise funds for a charity close to our hearts, Asthma UK (you may recall Roddy did his bit last year for the charity by running the London Marathon).

With the evening dubbed “Whatever It Takes”, Jack joined 23 fellow novice ‘fighters’ as they took to the ring, one of who was his dad. As Jack says: “Neither of us had ever boxed before and so it was pretty intensive training for the three months prior to the bouts. Whilst I lost on points, it was great to be involved on so many levels: realising I had the confidence to take on the challenge, spending time and training with Dad, representing my company, and raising funds for Asthma UK.”

Jon Swallow adds: “Jack and his dad got lots of support from colleagues that went along on the night and we all agreed that just stepping up and getting involved is a massive achievement.  We’re still talking about how composed he looked as he entered the ring, especially as he was so far out of his comfort zone.”

Well done Jack for supporting Asthma UK.
