Twenty years ago, Jon Swallow and Roddy Forster got to together over a shared passion – the freight industry. In that time, Jordon has grown as a company, and the industry has grown exponentially, still Jon and Roddy’s ethos and values hadn’t changed since those days when the pair were doing business out of a single room above a pub in Framlingham (home of Suffolk’s most prominent export – Ed Sheeran).
As Roddy says: “The reputation we enjoy these days is all down to our continuous improvement culture. Working smarter, welcoming technology and always remembering the customer is king has served us well. With teamwork at the heart of everything we do, there’s nothing Jon and I would expect our colleagues to do that we wouldn’t do ourselves.”
Jon continues: “Delivering excellence has been key to us from the outset, in addition to staying true to our key principles; embrace the challenge, don’t give up and find the way. It sounds simple, but there are lots of businesses out there that have lost sight of this along the way. That’s not us, whatever the challenge we stand with our clients through it all.
“With Brexit looming, the industry is facing its biggest challenge yet. Our commitment to excellence means we’ve all been working hard behind the scenes here to make sure we’re in the best position possible to serve and advise our customers in these unsettling times. Twenty years of experience and a company full of ‘can do’ colleagues make us both feel optimistic about the future.”
