A new benchmark was reached last month as the team at Jordon gained certification for ISO 9001, 14001 & 27001.

Last year Jordon CEO Jon Swallow and Financial Head Jackie Potkins took the mantle to lead the organisation through three ISO standards. Bringing in compliance expert Rebecca Richards of Strident as well as the IT expertise of local IT firm Comms Unite, the company set about bringing these three standards, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 27001, together. Jordon has been NQA certified  for ISO 9001 for many years, however to add another two standards would be a significant challenge.

Over a year and a half many changes were made internally and an Integrated Management System was created to cover all three standards migrating all documentation into a secure cloud environment. Jordon invested heavily into making considerable changes to the business and introducing new software, hardware and installations as well as processes.

Now that effort has finally been rewarded and here at Jordon Freight we’re proud to announce that we now have official NQA certifications with these three internationally recognised ISO standards:

  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management

  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

  • ISO 27001 – Information Security Management (Cyber)

This has been the culmination of a lot of energy and focus from our amazing and supportive staff. This huge endeavor was also picked up by the local news paper East Anglian Daily Times which you can view here

This achievement wasn’t about plaques on the wall though, although that’s where they’ll definitely go. It reflects our commitment to our value of continuous improvement and setting a higher standard – for ourselves, our clients, and our industry.

HOW IT HELPS

Whether you’re a global manufacturer, a fast-growing SME, or an established freight partner, here’s how our ISO accreditations directly benefit your business:

Consistent Quality, Every Time (ISO 9001)

ISO 9001 ensures our processes are structured, reviewed, and continually improved. That means fewer errors, faster responses, and a service you can count on – shipment after shipment.

Environmentally Responsible Freight (ISO 14001)

With increasing pressure on businesses to demonstrate sustainable practices, our ISO 14001 accreditation ensures we manage our environmental impact responsibly. Obtaining ISO 14001 was a natural next phase from our Corporate and Social Responsibility Program (CSR). By partnering with us, you align with a forward-thinking supply chain that takes sustainability seriously.

Data and Information You Can Trust (ISO 27001)

Cyber threats and data security are no longer just IT issues – they’re boardroom concerns. Our ISO 27001 certification means we protect your sensitive data to the highest international standards. Whilst we considered Cyber Essentials Plus this will come as Phase 2. ISO 27001 looks across the whole of the companies IT infrastructure and we felt this larger challange would be better done first. So with ISO 27001 in place you can be confident that your business-critical information is safe with us.

Raising Confidence, Not Just Containers

Many competitors, often much larger than our business, may aim for these standards. But maintaining all three is no easy feat and the reasons behind pursuing them doesn’t always align with their actions. But here the Directors are fully onboard with what they promote and get involved in.

Jordon CEO Jon Swallow says “this is a very important milestone for the business and it positions a statement of intent. As our busines grows it naturally becomes more complex, and it’s important we act with discipline to sustain our renowned service levels and company integrity. These accreditiations provide processes and structure we’ve developed, which help us with controls and accountability”.

Jon added “Our customers often require freight partners who place huge importance on what these standards stand for, and we do. We welcome businesses to talk to us about how we can help their logistics needs and how we can do it in a expert-led, professional and trouble-free way”.
